This week I worked on the character sculpt for the painter. I received some helpful notes on Friday to smooth down some of the forms on the face and to work on the silhouette more before racing ahead to get clothes details in.
This morning I got more notes before the production pass about making sure the forehead is more rounded and to make sure to get the hair forms in to be able to properly evaluate the rest of the face like the brow ridge. I also got a comment to bring some of the more angular shape to the eyes. I got some positive feedback on the style of the hands matching the concept art well.
By the next production pass I would like to have this model with hair and clothes completed. They can continue to be iterated on if I receive more feedback notes, but I'd like to have at least a finished pass at everything. I would like to have the body sculpt in Maya and make the clothes with quad-draw and then reimport them back into Zbrush to sculpt. I have already begun this process to some extent.
